Domains
Set up and manage your sending domains.
Domains Overview
Domains are the foundation of your email infrastructure in LeadTrain. Each domain is used to create sending mailboxes (for example, [email protected]) and needs proper DNS configuration for optimal deliverability. Using dedicated sending domains protects your primary business domain's reputation.
Purchasing a Domain
Purchase a new domain directly through LeadTrain without leaving the platform. Search for availability, review pricing, and complete the purchase with one click. DNS records including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC are configured automatically after purchase. Domain purchases are billed using credits from your account balance.
Connecting an Existing Domain
Connect a domain you already own by entering the domain name in LeadTrain. You will be provided with nameservers to configure at your current domain registrar. Once nameservers are updated and propagated, LeadTrain automatically sets up all required DNS records for email sending and authentication.
DNS Configuration
LeadTrain automatically configures all necessary DNS records. SPF records authorize LeadTrain's servers to send on your behalf. DKIM records provide email authentication via CNAME entries. DMARC policy protects against email spoofing. MX records enable receiving replies. A sending subdomain (for example, i.yourdomain.com) is created and used as the From address to further protect your root domain.
Domain Verification
Domain verification runs automatically every two minutes after setup. Check the domain status page to monitor verification progress. Domains move through these statuses: Pending Purchase, Purchased, DNS Setup, Verifying, and finally Active. If verification fails due to DNS propagation delays or misconfiguration, you can retry manually from the domain detail page.
Domain Health
Domain health is monitored continuously to protect your sender reputation. A dirty level score from 0 to 100 reflects the aggregate bounce and complaint rates for the domain. View per-domain metrics including bounce rate, complaint rate, delivery rate, and daily send volume. Keep the dirty level low by maintaining clean prospect lists and monitoring bounce rates.
